With new coach Greg Knights working alongside John Lacey our pre-season preparation was decidedly upbeat and a welcome influx of players helped to boost numbers significantly at the training sessions. The tone for the season was set in our very first league match; an 84-0 drubbing of Bank of England at West End Road. This huge win put us at the top of the London 3 North West table – a position we held until the end of the campaign, earning promotion to London 2 North as league champions!

The first set-back, after a run of six further league wins, came in the EDF Energy Senior Vase when we lost 22-27 to Romford & Gidea Park at home. However, our worst performance was undoubtedly away at Stevenage, followed by another defeat, this time at home to Ealing in the Middlesex Cup. Good away results were then interspersed with some last minute home wins, but the climax came when we gained revenge over Stevenage and confirmed the title with a tense 13-8 victory.

The Twos also had a great season, despite being unable to get a place in a Merit Table competition, winning the inaugural Hillingdon Cup competition without conceding a point. In fact, the 2nd team managed an amazing eleven clean sheets in 25 games. There is also the unfinished business of the Lambs Cup Final against Hertford, which is to be played in September.

The Veterans won six games out of six and the Under 17s won the Herts/Middx League Division 1 thanks to an all round squad effort throughout the season.
