Ruislip has a proud tradition of producing home grown players. To continue this trend I have initiated a school rugby development programme.
We are already coaching in the local schools to a high standard. Sam Lamalie an ex New Zealand 7s player has successfully been working at the new Ruislip High.
Our aim is to give as many schools a chance to start rugby and compete against each other in a league structure.
Matches will be held at schools with rugby pitch facilities and at Ruislip Rugby Club.
An end of season tournament will be held at the club to round the season off in a festival spirit.
Rugby breeds a healthy respectful attitude on and off the field, children learn a host of new skills, thrive in the team spirit and make new bonds that last a life time.
As coordinator I see the massive potential this project has for the schools,
