‘Investing in our future’

Ruislip Rugby is proud to announce that from next season the U16, U17 and U18 will become the senior youth group at the club

This will involve some changes to the current structure but the main theme will be greater involvement from the senior playing section, we aim to imbed 2 players as coaches with each of the age group concentrating on individual ball and contact skills, unit and team play and mentoring our young players as they move towards senior rugby

The scheme will be coordinated by 1st XV coach John Lacey who will oversee the coaching programme, develop close links with each age group management and encourage coach development for all within the group

This programme represents a major shift in the direction for the club and we are all excited at the potential benefits offered by the move, our aim is to reinforce the steps forward we have taken over the past 3 seasons and to encourage a work ethic and success culture throughout the group, we believe that success means player development as much as winning games, but if winning didn’t matter nobody would keep the score!
